For Licensed Childcare Providers
Exploring Best Practices through Assessment and Coaching
Specifically designed for in-home child care providers, this 10-month program, developed and sponsored by the Chaffee County Early Childhood Council, consists of monthly individual coaching sessions covering specific ways to stimulate children’s healthy growth and development. Areas of focus included:
- creating spaces for play, learning, and quiet time
- health and safety routines
- helping children with language development
- ways to incorporate art, dramatic play, music, and physical activities
- managing effective and nurturing interactions between children and with the child care provider
- development of good routines and schedules
- professional development
